WIP
I've called this Work In Progress, because I started it a year and a half ago and I've still not finished it. Occasionally I'll see something I want to add or change or saw off. It's a 4x2foot piece of hardboard with spray paint, pen, ink, acrylics and oils. The lower section is almost sorted, the top part needed an overhaul. One day maybe I'll declare it done.

Exposed
Heavy contract brickwork and wires. The original colour was magnolia (ew) it had to be made b/w. The vertical brackets drew me to this shot, it somehow reminded me of music, possibly a stave with moving lines. Anyway, I liked the composition too, it leapt out at me.

Broccoli
I experimented with lighting and my camera's zoom today. Happy with the colours and textures, as well as the focus.
Moderat - No. 22
A great album, I've got in on a loop since buying it last night. This tune kind of sums up my mood right now as well.
They are Modeselektor and Apparat. Rusty Nails, Sea Monkeys and Out Of Sight also great... get the album! If you like Trentemoller, you'll like this.

Elliott Smith mix CD
A friend asked me to make them an Elliott Smith CD... it was difficult. It took so long I might as well post the result here. I've probably missed some classics (from albums that I don't own) but I did my best.

Swoon 2
The second Swoon that was in Manchester, recently removed from a wall opposite the Castlefield art gallery near Deansgate... also because of property renovations. It's a travesty!
Swoon 1
A message on Twitter from @CAProjects, asking for our favourite female design/illustration icons, reminded me of Swoon. A couple of her full sized ink portraits on paper, that she pasted onto brick walls in Manchester back streets, have now both been removed. This was on Thomas Street in The Northern Quarter, during an Urban Artwork exhibition at The Urbis. It was taken down a year later as part of building restorations. Her drawings normally contain a figure with structures and scenes blended into their outline. She carefully chooses the location in which to display, using the walls detail to complete the composition.

Bus Stop
365 project overflow... it was a tough call. The white balance needed adjusting but I'm happy with the composition.

A-Z Envelope Update
I'd like to apologise for the delay in my A-Z envelope series. I left a half finished Envelope C at work and someone took it home... as well as my copy for Juxtapoze which features Jose Parla. Normal service will resume shortly.

20 Zone
I went for a walk around my neighbourhood, the streets were pretty deserted because of the snow and I could freely walk in the middle of the road with no interruption. The city lights created an eerie yellow sky and the street lamps cast interesting shadows.

Splinter
I've started a 365 day photo project on Tumblr http://peterrea.tumblr.com/ but I took more than one photo so here's another. As when I was at Uni, I walked the Manchester streets before work and shot anything that caught my eye. I'm particularly happy with the detail and colours here, the zoom done me proud.
